ActivationofthefusecheckmodeoccurswiththefirstnegativeedgeontheTMSpinafterpoweruporiftheTMSisbeingheldlowduringpower-up.ThesecondpositiveedgeontheTMSpindeactivatesthefusecheckmode.Afterdeactivation,thefusecheckmoderemainsinactiveuntilanotherPORoccurs.AftereachPOR,thefusecheckmodehasthepotentialtobeactivated.

ThefusecheckcurrentonlyflowswhenthefusecheckmodeisactiveandtheTMSpinisinalowstate(seeFigure41).Therefore,theadditionalcurrentflowcanbepreventedbyholdingtheTMSpinhigh(defaultcondition).
