Section A (1a-2b)

教材分析:本节课是人教版八年级下册unit7的第一课,课型为听说课,以听和说操练为主。在教山峰河流沙漠的单词时,农村学生比较生疏,所以先让他们查查资料,上课时会就会熟悉一些。对于短语as big as, much bigger教师用PPT图片呈现出来,学生学起来会轻松一些。对于听力部分,大多数的学生听力基础不好,太长的听力填空对他们来说很难完成,所以把它整合成4段,并每段只有一问一答,这样学生会更容易捕捉需要的信息。对于难点读大数字这一块,老师先让学生课前百度了解一下读的方法,在课堂上还安排了一个听力,一个小组互助活动,还有一个改错活动,让学生突破难点。

学情分析:学生之前有学过形容词的比较极和最高级,对比较极掌握得还可以,但是用最高级表达句子时最易犯以下错误:前面没有the, 忘了用in/of说明一个范围, 因此,围绕主题用表格展示这些出来,并让他们观察,归纳; 学生听力基础不好,老师把1b的听力材料整合并分为4段,并先让他们猜测,对于2b的听力,学生能听出数字就可以了。 Targets:

The Sahara,Qomalangma,The Caspian Sea, The Nile 2. students are able to read and understand the sentences: --What’s the highest mountain in the world? --How high/deep/big/long is the..? It is about…

3. students get familiar with the usage of the comparatives and superlatives of adjectives.

Key point: Ss are able to use comparative words and superlative words to talk about the geography.

Difficult point: Ss are able to read the big numbers.

设计意图:让学生了解主题的背景知识,学起来会熟悉一些同时检测学生对旧知识的掌握程度, 以便调整上课步骤。 教学环节:

1、 Warm-up Ss watch a video(Qomolangma, The Nile, The Caspian, The Sahara的视频剪辑合并)。T: Would you like to visit them?

2、Ss learn the target words by PPT pictures. (Qomolangma, The Nile, The Caspian, The Sahara的图片配上数字说明,并且有飞机逐渐飞向这些景点的动画效果)。

T: Is it a mountain or a river? S: a mountain.

T: How high is it? (T help the students say the number: it is 8,844.43 meters high) T: It is very high, it is the highest mountain in the world. (write the words Qomolangma mountain high on blackboard)

用这种方法呈现以下单词:The Sahara desert square kilometers The Caspian Sea deep The Nile.

设计意图:用三维重现教学法,先呈现目标单词和目标句,让学生先有印象。后面还会重复听,说,练,不急于一下子会读会记。符合学生的学习规律。 3.Ss match the facts they know.

形容词最高级的后缀一般为:est,而且在句子表达中,前面有the, 表范围时用 in 或of.

T write the number in English on the board. All the students read together and sum-up: 把数组每隔三位分在一起,用逗号隔开,从右向左,第一个三位按hundred,第二个按thousand,第三个按million,递四个按billion读. (PPT屏幕显示) 6,Listen and fill in the numbers from the box. Pre-listening. Ss read the number in groups.

While –listening, Ss listen for the first time and number 1-4 in the order they hear them. For the second time, Ss fill in the blanks with the big numbers.

After listening, Ss learns the usage of much+形容词比较级and as… as… by pictures

7, play a game. Ss work in group (5students one group), each one give out a large number, the others try to read out the numbers, they learn and help each other. 设计意图:学生通过小组合作,互相帮助一起攻破难点。

8,Production: they share their work out, and teacher chooses one number(让学生有表达欲望的数字) and ask them to say some sentences by using comparative or superlative words。(句子越多越好)

设计意图:没有设定句型,让学生自由发挥,这样的动态课堂有利于培养学生的创新能力,但也需要老师有一定的观察能力和应变能力。 9,课堂检测: 改错

设计意图:初二生的好奇心强,而且喜欢找别人的毛病,让他们找错,会比较感兴趣且认真。另外教师可以检测他们对这节课的掌握程度,为下堂课的内容做好准备。

1.Show the title and the picture to the students and ask them tell what they can get from the title and describe the picture.

2. Students are asked to predict the main idea of the article according to the title and the picture. After talking, provide students with three choices and let them choose the right main idea for the article.
