linux下安装vmtools

1、环境描述：

采用虚拟机机VM10，Linux使用RedHat 5.5，VMtools文件包为

VMwareTools-9.6.0-1294478.tar.gz

可以利用U盘（建议用FAT32分区）或FTP服务器将VMtools文件包复制到Linux系统中，可以在根目录下建立vmtools目录来存放。

2、以root身份登入，用终端模式，进入vmtools目录，用命令 “tar zxpf VMwareTools-9.6.0-1294478.tar.gz”进行解压，解压完成后，进入解压后的目录，运行 “vmware-install.pl”文件

[root@localhost]# cd vmtools

[root@localhost vmtools]# tar zxpf VMwareTools-5.5.1-19175.tar.gz [root@localhost vmtools]# cd vmware-tools-distrib [root@localhost vmware-tools-distrib]# ./vmware-install.pl

3、测试验证VMware Tools

1）、在虚拟机菜单处，可看到“重新安装VMware Tools”选项

2）、鼠标即可随意移动，不需要按“ctrl+alt”，而且支持在windows和Linux系统之间互相拖放来复制文件

4、如果运行 “vmware-install.pl”文件时出错，不能继续安装 1）、出现Error ，Execution aborted提示

出错了！

2）、将/ect/vmware-tools目录删除，重启一次，重新解压文件包,，再运行 “vmware-install.pl”一次，即可了！！！
