摘要：An apparatus to connect two portions of at least one cable togethercomprising a male member, a female member and an actuation means. The actuationmeans is adapted to radially displace the first or second portions of the cables to engageeach other. The actuation means typically comprises a tapered rod, and the malemember is normally inserted into the female member and the rod is moved along itscentral axis so that engaging portions abutting against the rod move radially outwardscausing the attached cable portions to move radially outward. Secondary portions of thecables are typically positioned around the female member and form a connection withthe cables pushed radially outwards.
