摘要：Prepn. of low mol. wt. functional polymers comprises: (1) preparing a firstquantity of a mixt. (M1) from at least one component chosen from olefinic unsatd.monomers (B) and cpds. (A) which do not copolymerise with (B) but can react to form acopolymerisable addn. reaction cpd.; (2) starting polymerisation by the addn. of initiatorsand opt. regulators; and (3) adding an additional quantity (M2) of the (A)/(B) mixt. duringpolymerisation, the compsn. of (M2) being the same as or different to (M1), with theprovision that an oligomer or polymer (C) is dissolved in at least one of (M1) or (M2), andat least one of (M1) or (M2) contains a component (B). Also claimed are: (i) copolymersprepd. by the process, and (ii) binders for lacquers which contain these copolymers, aswell as cross-linking agents chosen from isocyanates, melamine resins or epoxy cpds.
