We were called the beat generation. we are the first generation since china‟s family rules were born.we grew up with no siblings.

We witnessed china‟s opening up,seeing the development right in the front of their eyes.they „ve grown along with china‟s growth.

In the year 2011,we will be entering our 30s.we are taking the stage in china.we are the post-80s generation.

Chairman mao once said youths are like the sun at 8 or 9 am in the day.now the post 80s generation is like the sun at noon,it‟s their time to shine.

We might be factory workers making electronic products,we might be traffic police who stands on the street maintaining order,we might be businessmen who give presentation in the office about company plans.we are one of you ,pursuing our dreams.

We are the Post 80s generation in china ,china‟s future will depend on us.

Therefore, I want to emphasize, although we are not mature but we are strong enough to face the mission of our nation. I have three points to illustrate.

First of all, recognition and reform of old things and the choosey acceptance of new things would be a primary step on how to develop our society appropriately.

Since China has carried out the policy of opening and reform, many changes have taken place in most of our lives，including the breakthrough of space research, genetic engineering in science, and the abolishment of traditional thinking pattern. As new net generation, we are able to change, or even abolish the disadvantages of old things without hesitate, while we tend to absorb the advantages of new things choicely. With the combination of the two aspects, I believe we are creative enough to come up with the innovative and fantastic ideas, these ideas are the mentally necessity for the development of society.

Moreover, the principle that everyone is born equally should be applied to and spread to every corner of the world in addition to China.

It is known to all that China is a country that focuses on democracy, that people are equal in all aspects in life, and especially this sense of equality is perfectly displayed by our generation. However, there still the existence of serious racism, sexual discrimination, economical and political inequality in some of countries worldwide. As the new net generation, we all have the right to obtain what we want, and having the obligations to diffuse the idea extensively to the other countries so that people suffering from inequality could be courageous enough to get on their feet. Therefore, this sense of equality plays an important role in the process of human civilization, and also in the modern society.

Furthermore, preference of pragmatism would be the key to success for our new generation to develop the society.

As a result of the education by our parents, most of us have a clear idea on the surroundings we live. We are practical to know what we will do in the future and we have practical aim for our lives. Our performance in some events, such as the Wenchuan Earthquake, the Olympic Games, the EXPO, and the Asian Games, proved obviously that the pragmatism makes the society operate more efficiently, stably, and even more peacefully.

As the generation in the new age, we are supposed to encounter many unexpected challenges, opportunities, and encounter lots unpredicted mistakes. But we are always prepared to say,

“Wherever and whenever it comes to us, do what we really want!”
