摘要：An access control processor (30) for a conditional access system in whichencrypted information segments provided by a plurality of information service providers(10-10b) are encrypted for transmission in accordance with different conditional accessprocesses respectively utilizing different algorithms for encrypting the informationsegments. The processor includes a decryptor (31) in an information receiver bydecrypting encrypted information segments received by the information receiver byprocessing the received encrypted information segments with a session key used forencrypting the information segments in accordance with an algorithm utilized in one ofthe conditional access processes, and a conditional access controller (32) in theinformation receiver for selectively enabling the decryptor to decrypt receivedinformation segments encrypted in accordance with any of the different conditionalaccess processes by providing to the decryptor cryptographic information for definingthe algorithm utilized in the one of the different conditional access processes for use bythe decryptor to decrypt the received information segment encrypted in accordance withsaid algorithm.
