[Also in Division A4] Drawings in relatively stiff folders3 are filed on parallel shelves 2 which are inclined at about 45 degrees, and arranged in afiling cabinet so that access to the folders is available at the upper edge of each shelf.Each shelf 2 may be a board with end fittings, but is preferably a lattice-work metal wireframe with one end 9 pivoted on channels 6 of the cabinet, and the other end 8 resting inopen-ended slots in channels 5a at the other side of the cabinet; thus the shelf can beswung about its pivot to facilitate insertion of folders. A leaf-spring 4 is secured at oneend beneath each shelf, and presses on the folders 3 on the shelf below. The front edgesof the folders 3 may have metal or plastic tag holders.
