摘要： The present invention relates to a method for improving the operation of anengine. The engine comprises a cylinder (1), a piston (2) movable in the cylinder, at leastone inlet valve (3), at least one outlet valve (4) and at least one conduit inlet (5) and anoutlet conduit (6). An air charge (IT) is introduced into the inlet duct (5) or the like beforethe start of an induction stroke, so as to fill first the inlet duct (5) immediately

downstream of the inlet valve (3). At least a portion (IT2) of the air charge (IT) or the likeis introduced into the cylinder (I) while the outlet valve (4) is in closed position. A portion(IT1) of the feed air may be reserved to ensure cleaning of the cylinder, this part (IT1)being adapted to exit through the outlet valve (4). A mixture of air and fuel (SAP) isintroduced into the cylinder after the air charge (IT). An apparatus described in thepresent invention includes bodies that are synchronized so as to fill a section of the inputduct (5) or similar starting immediately downstream of the inlet valve (3) with feed air ( iT)before the start of an induction stroke.
