A vehicle-mounted system is provided which can send a command from a

second system to a first system during a period in which the first system is

communicating with the second system in accordance with a unidirectional communication protocol. A vehicle-mounted system 100 includes a sensor 10 (a first system) and an ECU 20 (a

second system). The sensor 10 outputs a message signal containing a pause pulse to the communication line DATA in
